In 2016, the city of Rio de Janeiro hosted the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and the Maracanã Stadium was the stage for the opening ceremony. Through a constant dialog with the directors Daniela Thomas, Fernando Meirelles and Andrucha Waddington, we developed all the visual design of the entire ceremony: the visual content for the mapped projections used on the stadium field, the delegation’s staff costume, printed program and folders, videos for the stadium screens and the concept/production of the bicycles responsible for carrying the delegation’s flags for each country at the opening parade.
