SESC Paulista

At the 28th edition of SESC Summer in 2023, we designed an interactive and tech-savvy scenography that completely transformed the indoor space of SESC Av. Paulista, one of the main branches of the network in São Paulo. The guiding concept for the Av. Paulista unit was “Between the Lines” and to encourage people to interact with the space and get moving, we created a setting inspired by lines commonly found on sports courts, subways, and urban bike lanes. The printed floor design combined various court lines into a colorful, graphic pattern that was both visual and functional, guiding the physical activities of the event. The court we designed was versatile and supported a wide range of activities. We also incorporated the line concept into the metal structures that defined the different areas of the space. These structures were covered in colorful elastics, creating paths and fun obstacles for kids to navigate through. Mapped projections were integrated into the setup, adding movement to the project. By blending architecture, installation, and technology, we created an immersive, interactive, playful, and multifunctional space that catered to a diverse and dynamic audience.
